Ms. Yessica Garcia Rodriguez, RN, BSN, FNP-C
Family Nurse Practitioner in Gastroenterology
Born and raised in Venezuela, Ms. Yessica Garcia Rodriguez is a Family Nurse Practitioner with a strong passion for gastroenterology. She earned her nursing degree from Duke University and spent four years working as an intensive care unit nurse before obtaining her Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner at UT Health in Houston.
After two years in family medicine, Yessica transitioned to gastroenterology, driven by her desire to prevent conditions like colon cancer and assist patients in managing chronic gastrointestinal disorders such as fatty liver disease, GERD, IBS, ulcerative colitis, and Crohn’s disease. She is committed to patiServicesent education, emphasizing the importance of early detection and preventive care, and strives to enhance the quality of life for those with digestive health challenges.
Outside of her professional life, Yessica enjoys cooking, traveling, and cherishing time with her family and friends.
She is a highly trained and skilled healthcare professional who performs physical exams, diagnoses illnesses, prescribes medications, and develops treatment plans for patients of all ages.
